Question Are any of these cards worth keeping?

Going through my big box of old PC stuff, found a few graphics cards. Are any of them worth keeping? These days I only use PCs for general purpose stuff, no gaming beyond what a Haswell HD4600 can provide.

    • Palit GF9600GT 512M DDR3
    • Asus EN9400GT 512M DDR2
    • Inno3D GF7300 LE TV 256M DDR2
    • MSI R4670 MD512 D3
    • Gigabyte GV-NX66T128D

If I only keep one as a spare just in case, which one would you go for for general purpose stuff?

    Thanks!

Re: Are any of these cards worth keeping?

I was always a huge fan of the HD 4670 (that's the MSI R4670 MD512 D3 in your list). If I had one I'd keep it around. The 9600GT is probably a little "faster", graphically speaking, and a 9400GT isn't bad either, but I'd keep the 4670.

Incidentally, none of them is actually "better" than Haswell era (or newer) IGPs, and the integrated Vega in the latest Ryzen APUs would run rings round these cards. But I reckon it's always worth having at least one basic graphics card around "just in case". If nothing else it can take one variable out of diagnosing graphics problems

Re: Are any of these cards worth keeping?

Thank you @scaryjim yes that was my thinking too, I think the 4670 draws a bit less power than the 9600GT, I vaguely remember swapping one for the other, I think it was the 4670 that won out for that reason but it's a long time ago
