Well I am currently running a 2.2ghz barton, gig of ram and 6800le unlocked partially (the vp's, but not the pipes).
Will this be sufficient to run games decently?

With modern games, you probably won't get an awful lot of AA/AF at the native resolution...
it'll run, but as schmuck said you wont be getting AA or AF to any great extent
Should be ok with that Gfx Card, and i guess they are right for saying what they have above,
But it is likely your current CPU may bottleneck higher Graphics card, my 6800le unlocked to vanilla playes everything beautifully!

Personally, I don't think it will be enough, though of course its going to depend on exactly what it is that you're running.
A 6800 really struggles at HL2 1280x1024/4AA/4AF any time there are alot of objects on screen. Turning off AA/AF makes things alot better. An overlocked GT does OK. At 1600x1200, you really need a very high graphics card. There was a post recently from someone running a 2005FPW on HL2. Their X800 Pro really struggled and thats a card better suited for HL2 that Nvidia parts.
Seems odd that you would want to pair a high end TFT with low/low-medium end graphics card.
well i dont do as much gaming as i used to do, do alot of movie watching, web surfing, essays etc :) the aim was to get a good gfx card at a later date seeing as i only just got the 6800le :)
Oh btw, what makes a gfx chug more, the AA side or the AF side? I only run 2x AA and 2x AF at the mo, games all run nicely... but could be smoother
