many of us would say probably not because the 6800gt would be awesome and we couldn't justify the extra money. Depending on the rest of your machine specs the £150 might be put to best use in to buyer another component. But if your spec is good and you really have the money, it will give better performance!

160GB is fine if you don't spend all day sitting on P2P and downloading porn tbh.

i doubt it when some of today games can take over 6 gb of install space

plus all my games i rip to an iso in a directory and mount the image so i dont have to get my pristine cd's and dvd's out all the time

any cd's i buy i rip them to the hard drive in a lossless compression method
any dvds i buy that i really like are ripped to hard drive too

its pointless not getting the sweespot of price per gb of 200gb or maybe 250 when there isnt that much more of extra cost

and how do u know that our next version of windows is going to be any slimmer than xp ?

i think longhorn is going to be quite a bloater !

How many games do you have? Even at 6GB a pop that's still 25 games...

I cant spend anymore on this PC as this is goin slightly over budget,. Im paying £115 to upgrade from a Radeon 9800 Pro. I don't think I will need a bigger HD cause I won't be buying too many games. Im looking to get Half-Life 2 and Stalker after I get this machine. Most of my space will go on MP3's.

lol yeh are u forgetting i rip my favourite dvds and cds then oput them back in there case never to be opened unless i delete the image

i have tv captures etc of some shows i like and recorded from my dvb card

i also dabble with my xp install useing nlite to create customised discs some images smaller than your usual xp disc some larger

and since drives are getting more reliable these days im inclined to buy much more than i need to as im pretty confident that it will last me for a long time

oh i also gather up hdtv clips aswell , and they are hefty

download the videos that get posted in the cars section of hexus

things mount up end of story
