I was able to pick up a i7 4770 Lenovo M93p desktop with 8GB RAM 2TB SSHD and a fresh install of Windows 10 for the price of £15 from a office sale in Moorgate.
It is a wonderful well built machine, let down by the Intel 5500 graphics
So I'm looking for a GPU. Now it needs to be low profile and checking the specs of the machine it says
"PCI Express 3.0 x16 (40w max)"
The PSU is 240w 80% bronze unit which could be replaced, but at extra cost and with a 24-pin to 14-pin adaptor.
Looking at the 'MSI GTX 1050Ti 4GT LP 4GB' which fits the bill but the website says 75w
It does say the second PCIe slot is 40w as well so is that a total of 80w to play with or only governed to only 40w per channel.
I don't want to spend £170 on a paperweight.
Did find a youtube video of someone doing this very thing, but I do not speak Portuguese
