Best price to performance 1080?

After spending a lot of time researching 1080s, i've come to the conclusion that i'll be buying an MSI GAMING X PLUS 1080 soon. It seems to have great overclocking potential and scan are currently offering a free copy of Destiny 2 with every 1080. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on other versions available?

You can currently get the Palit GeForce® GTX 1080 Dual OC for £486.68, which seems to be really good price/ performance. It gets good performance while being much cheaper than most 1080's.

I have seen GTX 970 cards going second hand for around £150 - would this not reflect good value?

Still high demand for the 1080s, which means the top end 1070s are being overlooked.. possibly price/performance bargain out there.. i know it worked out for me.

The best prices you'll get are from Ex miners right now, but that's a lottery and most have already sold around the £320 mark long before the RTX reviews came out.
