Video in - x850XT PE VIVO?

bought one of these cards from lowestonweb for £329.

It was sorta half retail/half OEM - brown box, no cd's or manual atall but it had cables.

I want to connect my cable set-top box to the video-in on the card.

What software would I use to watch stuff on it, and which cables do I need to use... - I assume itd be the mini-din->composite (the cable is acctually mini-din->2x composite [yellow RCA] + 2 mini din)

So want to use this to watch tv and record tv... I assume tehres software which supports it..

hmm.. anyway I though these cards were vivo.. but ive just realised the included cables might be for tv output

But that doesnt explain the rage theater chip on the back of the card..

    Thanks, that was very helpfull

It seems that one of hte cables with it functions as both composite AND svideo - input AND output...

Now to find some software to use it with

edit: I tryed with virtual dub...notthebest program for this.. but it worked...- BUT the quality was poo. Dunno whats wrong but it really did look poo...

Use the S-Video rather than composite cables. Better pic.

I remember a freeware prog called DScaler which I used on an older TV card to get a good picture. Have a look here.
