so thats 71.84 but what about these other ones out there as betas...there's a 71.90 at guru3d.com, even a 76.10! how buggy they are I don't know but there seem to be so many out there its hard to choose.
then there's those that are better suited to certain cards - i read of some that cause fans to stop (perhaps more a user fault than driver but still not all that good when lots of these crop up!), and other are less critical by way of slowing things down a bit. but there's so many out there that I wish there were some good battery of tests to show whats what.

ah yes that was it, temperature increase issues...perhaps resolved for the time being though.

edit: nope they've released a bugged driver. nuts of you ask me but still, download at your own risk I guess.
    i'm sticking with the 66.93's I have!

yeah well ideally I'd rather not have to just to fix a bug they knew was there in the first place before they released it to us...!

fair enough, cant fault that! it is a little ridiculous to be fair, but the bug has little/no effect on load temps, only on idle temps.

i had to change drivers as the 66.93's gave me horizontal banding through my dvi connection.

fair enough...I guess we'll have to await the next offering. apparently all drivers following 8th march will have temperature bug fixed, hence why we know its the beta release that just got made the official release despite the dates being after 8th the bug still remains.
