Dell UltraSharp 1704FP

Are these monitors any good? My 4 year old 19" Mitsubishi CRT is dieing slowly, and I was looking to replace it with a 19" LCD, but having seen the deal that Dell are doing on these 17" screens (buy one get one half price), I can get 2 for just over £400, giving me a lot more screen space than a single 19". Now my question is, are they actually any good? I don't game much, but obviously wouldn't want them blurring all over the place when I do. I'd much rather have nice bright whites, and dark blacks, with good colour reproduction, as well as a sharp image suited to coding on.
