    RTX 2070 Super v RTX 2080 Super

    Title says it all.
    At 1440p 144hz monitor
    High - Ultra settings

Is it worth going for the 2080 S or would a 2070 S do?

    *Update*

Something I didn't mention before was that I am getting into Vr so this may change things.
I just bought a Rift S. So far seams ok on my 1070 but I think that it is lowering the quality. Only used for about 2 hours or so.

go for the 2070 Super i did.

Its basically a normal 2080 (non RTX), for 2k gaming its the perfect sweet spot.

    my rig...

    Nice Rig.

Going off what you said and looking at some more benchmarks. I also think that I will go for a 2070 S. Seams that it should be perfect.

Maby once I upgrade I can show my less impressive rig.

Neither will drive 1440p at 144 Hz in a modern game at ultra, so you'll be able to measure a difference (debatable about seeing it). Really depends on your definition of "do" (they'll both manage very smooth 1440p)

2070 super if you want good performance and better value, 2080 super if you have money to burn and want a tiny bit extra.

Hard to mention value at these prices but you know what I mean.

Re: RTX 2070 Super v RTX 2080 Super

Yeh, I wasn't expecting to get 144 fps at ultra but I just want to have nice stable fps. When I upgraded to 1440p for 1080p in some game I would drop down too mid to high 40s on my 1070. I just want in those titles to have at least above 60 fps. There are lots of views out there saying one or the other I think looking at it both would be a solid choice for me. The last factor will be the cost so I will wait till next payday and finly chose what I can afford.

Basically what I said above. I think that it comes down to what I can afford to buy want what I want to buy. Saving some money here I could save a little extra and have an upgrade elsewhere.

Re: RTX 2070 Super v RTX 2080 Super

theres like 5fps difference on a 2070S vs 2080S, it only becomes visible when your doing 4K gaming, which isnt really supported in most games. Maybe in my next upgrade i'll go 4K (1-2 years) when it really matures.
