For £60, I would say a plain 9600: http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=307932&cks=PRL
A better bet for the price would probably be a 9600 Pro (slightly more, but worth it): http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/...1-A1761A8F9A13
However, a plain 6600 would be a better option if you could stretch to it: http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=307923&cks=PRL
Try and get a 2nd hand Ti4200 e.t.c, something along those lines would be good for your budget.

Damn good cards. Only upgrading as it can't support my 2 monitors at the same resolutions.
£60 is secondhand 9700 Pro money...maybe a few quid more will get you a 9800 Pro. Thats where my cash would be going...
:)
yeah, i'd go secondhand 9700pro, but not from retek unless your'e game, a friend's gone through 2 in the last month! should be around £60 and a great card, 9800pro will be more like £80-90, but again worth it :)
How about a Nvidia GF6200, softmodded to a 6600, if you can find one that will do it.
There's a good choice of cards in the B-grade section at OCUK, as mentioned here.
e.g. Ti4600 under £50
Direct link.
I see somebody snapped up the 6600gt for £68 though. I would have got it myself for my new system if i had the money.Quote:
