Should I format before going from nvidia to ati?
Just bought myself a tachyon g9600pro 128mb and have upgraded from a Geforce 2 Pro 64mb.
Can't say I have noticed a significant increase in performance at all, infact some games seem worse off. Tribes 2 for example can't handle gradients very well on the ATi card but does it perfectly on my old GF2.
I remember hearing ages ago that it was a wise move to format your hd before going from an Nvidia card to an ATi card. Is there any truth behind this?
I'm hoping so otherwise I might have to opt for a revised 5600 Ultra when they show up.
Cheers,
Chris

Sadly Tribes 2 is one of those games that do's not work well with the radeon 9500-9800 :( sorry m8.
The radeon 95-9800 are designed for new games really, perhaps later the drivers will improve to include fixes for tribes 2 but i doubt it.
