dvi connection problem

Hi

I have got a MSI geforce 6800 gt which has got a DVI-I Single Link connection. The problem is that my monitor (lg flatron L1730p) has got a DVI-D Single Link connection. I was wondering if anyone know's of anywhere I can get hold of a cable which I can use to link these up to a DVI connection?

I have searched google and yahoo looking at various websites with no joy.

Also I seem to get really bad tearing in games like doom 3 and far cry, do you think that this is because I am using the analogue converter or could it be something else?

erm...

dvi-i is a connector which has pins for dvi-d (the banks of 9 pins in square arrangements), and for vga (the plus-shaped bit and the pins next to it) with an adapter

what you want is any bog standard dvi cable, such as http://komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=108966&cks=SER

is vsync enabled?

try changing the drivers too, my iiyama 431 and galaxy 6800 had this problem with video and the 66.93 drivers, but stopped with the newer sets :)

Thanks for the replys, realised before I read these post this morning that I was being an adiot :Oops:

I thought that an dvi-d socket wouldn't fit with an dvi-i cable! Also I enabled v-sinc which sorted out my tearing problems!
