    MSI Afterburner issue

Having a play oc'ing my 3060Ti FE, when I try to get the auto-scan thing to work after a few seconds it throws up a failed code 3 message.

Drivers etc are all up to date, but any googling seems to point at either drivers or unsupported cards...

Anyone else here had the same thing?

    Re: MSI Afterburner issue

dumb question is afterburner up to date? given how new the rtx3060ti is I'd not be surprised if it's not supported yet.
Oh and well done on managing to snag on in the first place.

I had this issue with a 3070 FE. I had to change the Afterburner UI skin to the Ampere one to get it to work properly.

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: MSI Afterburner issue

Its the latest version of Afterburner and the latest Nvidia drivers..

Review sites seem to be able to overclock, unless they are doing it all manually rather than using the auto scan/test method?!

As for snagging one, wasn't a hardship, I was bored at work at the time they appeared on the nvidia website, they sent me to Scan and then I ordered it, to be fair it did sit in its box for a few days while I decided if it was actually more than an impulse buy and while I was checking if my new monitor res, it would be capable of what I wanted, but then I though we'll see what happens with my old card, so I listed the RX580 on FB Marketplace, less than an hour later a guy said he'd come get it, so the 3060Ti went in the machine and the RX went...

I can actually slide everything to the left, reduce the clocks, voltage, temp ceiling and so on and it still hits a locked 60FPS on my crappy old monitor so I'm happy with it for now, and hopefully being an FE, if I do get a monitor that the card doesn't do justice, then hopefully the FE will hold its value a bit longer...

No Ampere skin, changed it to a more "plain" looking one but still get the same issue.

Have you got voltage control and monitoring unlocked?

Stupid question but does using something like EVGA Precision X work?

    Re: MSI Afterburner issue

I've uninstalled and stuck the latest beta on, this errors the first time you run it, but if you try again it'll run...
