I was lucky to get an FE edition from Scan, so yeah in the current times the price was pretty good. Still scary expensive for my tastes :D
I think it's quite an ugly card, but such an upgrade from the RX570 I was playing Half Life Alex etc with before, and thankfully I don't have a window on the case.

I quite like the style of the FE cards, especially given the huge fugly AIB alternatives, but I don't have a case window either so it's largely irrelevant.
Re: 3000 founders edition cards UK
Same, I think my 3070 FE looks great quite a modern design. Would have preferred the larger 3080 but hey, happy with what I have.
Also the 3060 TI matches the 3070 in eth mining speed so that's a great value. Likely to have a good resale price for quite a while due to this.

I assume it was via the Nvidia website?? Was it at £370??
What website did you use for the alert? The Stock Informer discord hasn't updated for weeks! :(
Re: 3000 founders edition cards UK

Parts Alert Discord worked for me.

I seem to be on one called UK Stock Alert as well. I was too busy scrabbling for the mouse to take in where the alert was coming from tbh :D
And yes that was the price.
In case anyone is wondering, that PC doesn\'t run Windows so Nvidia works for me. I had a chance at a 6700XT the week before on Overclockers, but it was rather more expensive so I\'m happy I waited.

I know that Scan handles the FE sales, but I will try that Discord and see if I can get a GPU!

I also used PartAlert, and also UK Stock Alert. Registered on the Twitter and Discord channels for both sites, as sometimes the Twitter alerts would come through quickest, other times it’d be the Discord ones.
Re: 3000 founders edition cards UK
Another tip is use Telegram and sign up to FE PartAlert. Good luck fellow gamers!

Very solid attempt from SCAM to prevent these 3080 Ti FEs from staying out of the hands of scalpers

Meanwhile the buy button never even showed up for all the people that were actually trying to get one for gaming.

I was lucky enought to get a FE from Scan, should be turning up Monday. I thought they had all gone out of stock, but one last go at refreshing the page showed me an add to cart button. Original intention was to upgrade my 1080ti, but after seeing those prices, I'm almost tempted to turn to the dark side and wait for the 4080ti.

They can't control what happens once a buyer purchases a card. The do however limit that person to one purchase at the same address / IP / location. At least they've tried more than Nvidia to do something so gamers actually get a card. Also, anyone who pays scalper pricing on these is a complete muppet, or a miner.

Yet they didn't even offer most people that were trying to get one a purchase button.
How exactly are they choosing to restrict the purchase button to certain IP addresses?
Also you can't mine on any 3080 Tis now, they all have a 50% hash rate limiter. Well you can but they use more power and less mining capability than a 3060.
Re: 3000 founders edition cards UK
I really think Scan are trying their best, they don't appear to make much from these but clearly are carrying out contractual obligations for Nvidia with the FE's, probably why they put so much effort to dispatch them and be done straight away.
Unfortunatly some buyers (genuine ones) were reported to Scan when they shared their success (used joke terms like swap for something else, etc), so Scan cancelled their FE order - thought that was misdirected but again I think Scan are trying.
The problem is some people are extremely manipulative of the system, also people who do not usually buy GPU's hear how to make a quick £ and buy them too.
