Incredible, as far as I can determine no 16xx 20xx or 30xx series or 68xx available anywhere apart from some smelly ebay gougers/scalpers. The only cards on sale seems to be ancient AMD graphics cards that nobody wants.
How long is this going to go on for? Since my 980 ti burnt out I've had to put a 680 in and am very keen to get a 3070 FE. Will nvidia even do another run?
Scan regularly get stock (and sell it). Last update was yesterday saying their latest batch arrived on the 14th Jan. Another 170 3070s are due to arrive next week.
Ok thx. Where are you getting info from? I can't see anything on the Scan the website, not even prices for the 3070's. Site says "additional batches of cards will continue to arrive, so pre-orders on now is the surest way to get a card in the fastest time.**" BUT it is not possible to pre-order !?!

Also,Scan are the official distributor for Nvidia in the UK,so when an FE comes back in stock on the Nvidia website it links back to a specific part of the Scan website.
They are very hard to get hold of at the moment, it seems if you're not camped out ready for an alert, you probably won't get one - Even bigger drops seem to go within a few minutes
If you don't want to camp out and battle it out for the drops, i think it's best to stay away for a couple months and see if the situation improves - that's what im leaning towards doing now!
Loads of people selling them on Facebook for huge prices but wouldn't recommend getting them there.
Scan have been really decent at managing in their pre-order queues on the Nvidia 30 series card, albeit struggling with the 3080 due to supply shortages.
According to their status page, they've essentially fulfilled all of the 3070 pre-orders. So, I would assume that any future 3070 stock coming to scan would be regularly listed to buy, from now on.
I'm in several stock notification discords and the weekends are ALWAYS quiet. You'll find restocks happening all throughout the week but it'll go silent on the weekend, for obvious reasons.
Should be more stock coming in all over the place from monday onward, hopefully another SCAN founders drop too!
It has been a strange couple of years scalability and price wise. It feels like prices have doubled in the last 5-7 years for similar class of machine.
The amount of RAM in machines seems to be down now, it is oddly hard to get stuff above 8GB. Dell for example have their machines nearly all on 8GB and you can't modify it. To me Dell's only redeeming quality was being able to tailor this to what you want. For anyone in the same boat I have found that only the Optiplex 7080 and precision 3640 give you decent options to customise.
Trying to buy a laptop with more than 8GB seems to be difficult now. I find this strange as RAM is generally reasonable in price more.
Graphics wise what I have found strange is the the nvidia 16xx series are all out of stock everywhere. The new stuff I understand but old stuff like that is quite surprising.
I feel like I will never buy a new proper computer again...
Yes it is a struggle getting anything at the moment. I have been checking all sources I can think of for days and everywhere is out of stock. Every so often something will come up if you keep your eyes peeled but it will disappear and end up on eBay quickly.
As others have said - unless you want to sit there checking every retailers website evey 30 mins (and likely still not finding anything, or still paying way more than the card is worth), I would just look for a pre-order that is due in timeframe that works for you.
I also noticed that a few SCAM shops are offering GPUs for cheap prices! So avoid being tempted to take a risk; only buy from places you are 100% sure are legitimate.

AMD cards seem to be in a different league of scarcity than nVidia cards.
The AMD 6000 cards might as well not exist... I only ever see stock alerts for vendors in Germany who don't even ship to the UK.
Last I heard, Scan had some AIB 3070 and 3060ti in stock which you could only get by calling them.
I got my 3080 using one of those Discord alerts so that's probably the best way. Gotta be quick though and checkout in less than a minute.
This is a quiet week for me so I will check regularly on Scan and nvidia store Mon-Fri for Scan deliveries this week (and they supply the FE edition via the nvidia store). Anybody have any experience of the mostly likely time stock gets updated?
Between 1pm and 3pm seems to be the most common time for FE but some drops have been at times like 10am.
Look up @PartAlert on Twitter. Seems to have the fastest notifications.
