duuno about the card, but xfx are a good brand usually.

as for the screen i vote iiyama 431s i use one and get no ghosting at all, it's 17inches has a 16ms response and a dvi input, what more could you need for a game or 2

That GPU is the best 6800gt, it is better than the x800xl yes, but not by alot and its about £100 more than the X800XL, I would say its not worth the money. (the MSI is the best X800XL)

Get the Sharp LL 172G-B, its one of the best 17" around.
(Dont be put off by the sharp name,(sharp hi-fis etc are bad) their monitors are very good and this one has a 5 year warrenty. It must be a different sector of the company.)

Look for a 6800GT 2nd hand tbh. I just bought a Leadtek for £230 inc P&P 2nd hand. Plan on SLI'ing it with another.

I've got the PCI-E XFX and theres not a thing wrong with it. Runs most games at 1600x1200 with AA and AF high. Scored (on a new install) 11,500 points on 3D Mark 03, and 5,000 and odd on 05.

Games it comes with are MotoGP2, Commando's and X2. Boxing is a bit weird to get into if you don't want to damage it by tearing into it like a five year old into Christmas presents.

Overall, I'd reccomend it, along with the XFX 6600GT my mate has.

I would get the X800XL, they are cheaper and they are not much slower than a 6800GT, except in doom3.

If you really want a 6800GT, jsut get the cheapest one you can find with a good warranty,

I can concour with the honourable donut above, as I have the AGP version of the XFX 6800GT (with Dual DVI) and it is a blinder of a card. As you can see from my sig, I have mine running a 'bit' overclocked, and it's completely stable at about 62-63 degrees full load, and that's in a Shuttle at faster than stock Ultra speeds.

Great card, good price, well reccomended.

The 6800gt is great, if you want to spend more, for alittle bit more. I would get the X800XL, infact, i am lol
