DisplayPort or HDMI all views welcome
Hi Guys,
Just looking for some feed back really or to hear your opinion.
I have an Asus VG289Q HMDI 2.0 and Displayport 1.2.
DP = 21.6 Gbps 17.28 Gbps 1080p @ 240 Hz
HMDI=18.0 Gbps 14.4 Gbps 1080p @ 240 Hz
I have a 3090 FE I have both above cables at my disposal I use the Displayport Cable but someone told me to use the HMDI cable instead.
The HMDI Data and Transmission rate is lower than the DP and both deliver 4K.
Which cable would you use and why?
Cheers
Rapid

I use Display Port as it has a more robust fitting, but if they both do the job there's no difference.

Agreed I cant see anything different between the two.
Re: DisplayPort or HDMI all views welcome
Using Displayport does leave the HDMI port available for a games console, Blu-ray, or some other HDMI-only device...
