If you're using a regular TV with the rca or svideo port, you cant get higher than 1024. You have to increase the font size if you wanna read anything off it. If you want to use a TV with better image like a PC monitor you gotta get an HD tv or something with a DVI port.

    ???

Just lower your desktop resolution, it will lower the resolution on all output.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

Common problem with tv display. Text is always a pain due to the res. Lowering it doesn`t always work cos it goes fuzzy. I seem to remember Powerstrip or one of the windows text config programs had something in to sort out tv text size and definition.
I gave up on my old 32in Hitachi as even the vga input had that same problem as well as only a 60Hz scan rate despite the tv doing 100Hz.
You can try the text size settings in both control panel (very first page) and on the windows settings in appearance etc.
