    4070 + VRR/ALLM/Freesync HDMI 2.1 TV

So TLDR, my TV has died under warranty, I'll probably upgrade to something better with the credit they give me under warranty...

Looking at a Freesync/VRR/ALLM/144HZ/HDMI2.1 4K TV for a decent price, will my SP gaming TV rig with a 4070 play nice with the VRR/ALLM/Freesync? Or will I get tearing/stutters/brightness issues etc etc?

I'm not interested in paying the galactic money that NVIDIA G-SYNC TV's cost, considering how few of a selection their is in comparison, and I obviously have to choose from the selection that's available that I'll be given a credit with.

If it's not going to play ball, I'll simply framecap the fps/use vsync via the Nvidia control panel and use a HDMI 2.0 cable, like I did one the one that died for 1440P and 4K 60 (depending on the game)

    Thanks for any input

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

The only TVs I ever heard about being using for gaming are the LG C1 / C2 / C3(?) range, I presume there are other 120+ Hz monitors these days, but honestly I'd be looking at

What size are you looking at?

Just had a look at the spec sheet for my TV and surprisingly it ticks all of those features (Hisense U7K).

They do a range of sizes and for the U7K the prices were pretty good at launch and even better now as classed as old model (came out back end of 2023).

Another 65" to replace my existing HiSense.

I was going to get this exact model:

For the money nothing can touch it at it's current price, and it was around £900 last year when it came out.

    This review is very encouraging:

As I said in my OP, I am getting credit as a refund to use with the company I bought it from (Richer Sounds) so it has to be bought from there mate.

    Did you mean this one?
    https://www.richersounds.com/hisense-65u7kqtuk.html

If so, that is £150 more than the 65e7kqtuk-pro that I linked you to above - as I get the extra £50 off due to being in their 'VIP club' - which is free to sign up for.

I was under the impression QLED was better than Mini LED?

    I don't know if that'd be £150 better.

Thanks mate, just wanted to confirm.

Just looked it up on Very, they want £741 for it, so £92 less than Richer Sounds, which they'll price match, hmm it is tempting. I still think my ones the better bang per buck bargain, seeing as I'll have to still pay the extra after loosing the 20% off the original price paid

Thank god for a 6 year warranty though eh! Just my usual rubbish luck for it to fail 3 years in!

EDIT: That Very offer has now gone, grr!
