    2x 2405fpw with a 9500???

I've got 2 Dell 2405fpw 24" widescreen TFTs being delivered tomorrow.

What I need to know is, will a Radeon 9500 be able to drive these wee beasties at 1920x1200 for general windows duties and some football manager action?

Obviously, I would need one hell of a card to get decent gaming resolution on these, but i don't play many 3d games at the moment...

Also, what is the cheapest card that has dual DVI outputs??

    Thanks
    Chez

It should be capable of handling those monitors although only at a frequency of 60hz
Since it should have dual RAMDACs that are apparently each capable of 2048x1536 resolution.

yeah but I think the non-pro is effectively a 9700 with some pipes disabled so it should work the same as a 9700, same goes for the 9500 pro really also the smiley face was for the fact that frequency is pretty irrelevant

I would say one of the monitor will be crystal clear (on DVI) and one is not (VGA signal degrades as resolution increases).

You are getting *TWO* (GEORGEOUS) 24 inch Dell beasties and you are attempting to run them from a 9500 Radeon ... NON PRO!???????? Why not just buy a better card as you appear to have the funds?

You may find that the 9500 doesn't support the 1920 resolution via the DVI incidentally. I friend of mine can't run his 20 inch widescreen Dell via the DVI on a 256Mb 9800 Pro.

    Good luck whatever.

Well, I've got one up and running at full resolution, via DVI.

The only reason I haven;t plugged the second in is that I'm not sure I need it!

This thing is HUGE...and incredibly good, but mainly just HUGE!

If the footy manager thing uses directx... then possibly not
ive got a 20" and played with the 24" my 128mb 9700pro couldnt drive the 24" in 3d games as the max d3d res is 1600x1200 for a 128mb card. some games would run higher, others wouldnt.
