Upgrade to an ATI Radeon 9550

This is my first time on this forum so please excuse my overall ignorance to this topic.

While playing Il-2 Forgotten Battles flight sim, if I have a number of AI planes flying, more weather, etc... I get lots of freeze frames....now to the question...

I have a Gateway 1.9Mhz Pent 4 , 512mMB RDRAM PC800.
My graphics card is an...... Nvidia Geforce3 64 MB DDR . I can get an....................ATI RADEON 9550 256MB DDR graphics card for $99 (US) and would love to hold on to this computer for another year or so. I'm Cheap!

Would upgrading to the Radeon enhance performance significantly?

Is this a tough thing to hook-up in my computer? The new card has the same AGP slot interface.

Is getting the drivers for this kind of change difficult, especially since this is a Gateway box?

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’d like to know if this is an easy job to tackle, or please steer me in another direction if I'm going the wrong way. Thanks.

Nope its quite simple to install a graphics card but I think u should get a radeon 9600 better

Changing a graphics card is not too hard. Im sure most people will walk you through it.
