    6800GT or X800 or X850

I'm really not sure what one to get. I have read reviews and all these cards are great and i know the X850 card is the best out of the lot but.............Some games were developed around the Nvidia engine.

Whats your views guys.........oh and its PCI-E

    Cheers all

VIVO = Video In, Video Out. It is what it says on the box.

Personally, i've got an AGP 6800GT sat here, and my new system which i've just ordered has an X800XL PCI-Express card so i'll find out which is good soon enough

    x800,

Best price/performance ratio currently. Also I couldnt justify paying an extra £80+ just for a small increase in performance, which in a couple of years, become useless, making you think "why didnt I get the x800 in the first place?"

    X800

just got one of these, and its a beast I got the sapphire one and it overclocks nicely, not really worth the extra £40 for the 4 extra pipes the XL offers, the benchmarks dont show much of an increase in performance

I have a 850XT. Nice card, but the cooler is a noisey thing. Must get it replaced.

I had a 6800GT fast card, but fan never lowered when doing 2D work, so the card is quiet noisy, also Nvidia's Image Quality is inferior to ATi's. I now have a x850 XT, fast card, less noise in 2D and lovely crisp images, and monthly updates to driver sets. Go ATI

Depends on what board you have. If you have a SLI board and you're not starving for high FPS right now, get a 6800GT and wait for prices to fall, then get another for SLI.

There is no SLI with the ATi route.

Its going into a Isotope System from Scan.......

    http://www.scan.co.uk/acon/System.asp

.....so im not sure what route im going to go down in the next year, SLi seems like the route to go. But as you can see from the picture there isnt much from for cards and they'll need to release a micro atx mobo first before i can do the SLi option. I think i might get the 6800GT, there cant be that much difference in performance?

Well since you're limited to 1 card, get the X850XT if price isn't an issue. It is the fastest single card out there right now.
