Nice quiet mid range AGP card?

Afternoon.

I'm looking for a nice quiet video card - the card I'm using at the moment (ti4200) has a filthy great fan attached to it and it's just started making even more noise than previously! I would really like something with passive cooling but I'm struggling a bit to find something suitable.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It needs to be AGP and will couple up to my aging 2.4 P4 with 1gb ram. I do a bit of gaming but not loads so doesn't need to be super duper - also not fussed about it being bundled with lots of *extras* - don't need them and don't want them!

Any ideas?

How much do you want to spend?

All of the below will beat a ti4200 and have dx9
£35ish radeon 9500 pro
£60/70 radeon 9700 pro
£100 radeon 9800 pro
£130 nvidia 6600

Prices maybe a little off, and do you want to buy second hand or new?

how about the HIS 9800 PRO. should come with an arctic-cooler for around £130ish

Buy a 6800GT with a Zalman Vf-700, absolutely brilliant.

Completely silent, only problem is that it makes my Samsung Spinpoints sound louder :( (I thought they were meant to be the quietest)

If the only problem with the Ti4200 is the noise, just replace the HSF.

ditto, no point in spending money if it works fine, a new hsf will be under 20 quid

Hmmm - I hadn't though of replacing the fan. The card I've got is an ABIT GeForce Ti 4200 OTES - the cooling thingy is a bit fancy and I think might be a bit of a beast to remove and replace? Would it be possible to remove and replace the cooling unit without too much trouble?
