Do you use ClearType?
Just wondering, as I just thought to reenable it on my own PC.
On my old TFT (Viewsonic VP201mb) it made next to no difference, because you couldn't make out the subpixels. The construction meant that each pixel blended together the R/G/B subpixels to show a single pixel of whatever colour.
But on this Dell 2405, the subpixels are easily distinguishable. So enabling ClearType makes a huuuuuge difference. Some small, jaggy fonts are transformed into smoother, clearer text by turning it on.
Do you find it's worth using?

Looks like crap on my Sony CPD-E540, so I don't use it.
-
Yes, makes text look alot sharper for me :)
-
Same as oral. Looks kinda blurry on my Sony CPD-E250 too.
-
It's looked like cack on most TFTs I've worked on, so I don't use it.
-
It does look cack if you don't configure it.
-
Improves things immeasurably on my TFTs.
-
looks naff on my CRT. just leave it off.
-
Yes I use it on my TFT, and can notice a difference in the sharpness of the fonts/text.. So worth putting it on, haven't noticed it slow down the PC?!?..
;)

On for sure on my TFTs, off on the trusty SGI GDM5411 CRT.
-
Get the cleartype powertool and you can tweak it. I use it on my laptop and it works well.
-
Looks like arse on my CRTs. I use it on my PDA though

makes a huge difference on my system, I got the power to use it so i do and like raj on my 2405 it looks niiiiice :)

It's good on my LCD for most fonts. It's also nice on my ancient CRT - a different kind of blurry that looks better :)
-
Works great on my TFT, text is so much sharper.

Looked like pap so I left it off.
