    Which card?

At the moment it's between getting ASUS Gamer Edition 256mb 6800 GT (£250, minus about £30 if I buy it at the local store and trade in my old GFX card) and a GeCube Radeon X800XL AGP 256MB (£235)..

The prices are about even so it's really more to do with which is the better card. Obviously I'm open to other suggestions, but please keep in mind that i can't extend my budget above £250

Well the 6800Gt is better, authough they are quite even, i would get the scan saphire x800xt OEM for £210, normally £280.

I think the X800XL is better and cheaper. The reviews i have read on PC Format etc also state this. Quicker in Most games except Doom3. BUT if u have the money now then nvening's suggestion above for the x800xt is a bargain. GET IT!!

If you do decide to get an x800xl get a clud 3d one ( they have them on komplett) as far as i knwo the extra power connecter has let alot of ppl overclock it further. ( ive looked into all this becuase im going to get it next week )

Go for the Nvidia. Great cards, ive never got on with ATI, my xfx 6600gt is great. Dual DVI outputs as well. I dont know about asus as a make, personaly i would be temped to go XFX again.
