    Gfx For 50

    Right then, im off up to aria's shop on saturday and im getting mrs fraggie a new gfx card. The last card i bought for myself was a 9800 pro and im not sure whats going on with the numbering below that

    Im looking for something thats AGP, and runs games well for around 50 quid from www.aria.co.uk

    or a radeon 9550 128mb, that'll play the games at that res fine. you dont really need 256mb of ram at this level as the card wont get the chance to make the use of it. and i think the 5200 is comparable to a radeon 9250, the radeon 9550 is apparently better than a fx5500 and fx5700le

    they do have some hilariously high prices there tho, 9600's for £90 odd, i bought one 18 months ago for £70!!

    personally i'd be inclined to go for a second hand ti4600 or a 9500pro/9700pro as the latter is considerably better, for not a lot more

    worth looking around secondhand.

    ive had a couple off retek that were faulty but they were good with replacements, other than that the new prices are still £80 and now the 9800pro is about £80, bargin of the minute.
