    Cooling a 6600gt Quietly?

Im fed up of the high pitched wine that my graphics card produces, and would like to replace the heatsink, also it has no ramsinks and the ram seems to overheat. Is it particulary hard to change graphics heatsinks.

    My cards a XFX 6600gt PCI-e.

    i've ordered that card.
i think its just a case of unscrewing it and screwing the replacment fan/heatsink on, however with some cards the cooling units are welded on and really hard to get off...i think

ah, for SLI?. i think that cooling i posted above uses two pci spaces, so i don't think it would fit, i may be incorrect though. wait for other comments .

If he's on an A8N SLI then it has two slots between the PEG slots so he might be OK.

You cannot get two AC's fitted SLI onto a DFI NF4 Lanparty SLI-D or SLI-DR.

Whats the spacing between them, the A8n has a good bit of space between the two.

The arctic coolers will work with SLI just fine.

I recently changed my arctic cooler for a zalman and it's running 10 degrees cooler with much less noise (running in a shuttle).

Zalman in a Shuttle you say? Tell more...

I understood this could not be done (unless you've done some cutting...)
