    hdtv on a 6800?

    thought id start a new thread not hijack the one in the GD forum.

    i tried disabling the hardware acceleration in wmp9 and in winamp5 (cheers rave) but the video barely plays any better for me, is there a driver level way of doing this, i couldnt find it

    any tips welcome (machine spec in sig)

    Maybe in display propertys->advanced->troubleshooting tab, but I havent looked...

    Not sure what you're trying to do, but if you're trying, to play HD video using WMV9 onto a HDTV, I don't think its going to work very well because of the driver/VPU issue on the 6800/GT cards.

    Try using NvDVD with the latest drivers. It's got a truly awful GUI but it does vastly improve performance compared to WMV9.
