Newbie looking for solutions to plug my Playstation 2 to my PC

Hey guys, I'm looking for ways to plug my PS2 into my PC. Any good solutions? I already have a 6800GT so getting another video card wont be an option. I know this is probably a stupid question but I'm running out of ideas... Been to Maplin and Dixons but only has those miniature USB solutions that plugs ur camera in thru a video-in jack. Local computer stores didn't help much... been welcomed with shuggs by them all way through 5 shops already. Also, I'm not looking to pay a bomb for it.. My budget should roughly float around £30-£40. Suggestions with manufacturer model and MOST IMPORTANTLY where to get them would be a plus... thanks guys!

For around £30 you should be able to get a TV card like Hauppauge WINTV GO PCI card. That will take an RF input and display it on your monitor.

    There you go.

What do you want to do with the PS2? Just use your monitor?

may be what you're after. Not cheap mind - almost cheaper to just buy another telly (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...875431-9038831).

I used to have a Gamars V-Box for just such purposes. Did the job nicely.

No idea if you can still get them.

I think all TV cards have a composite input at least. So im sure you would be able to connect your ps2 up.

I think this card has a composite input http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/pro...a_express.html

Have a look here for some TV cards, Im sure one of them has video input http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/TV_Cards.html

image quality on tv cards is nasty, though. bear that in mind.

you either want a screen with built-in composite (e.g. dell 2001fp) or a proper upscan convertor to vga (e.g. xrgb2+)
