    im looking for a win nt4 driver for the ati 9500 non-pro but for seem reason i seem to be hitting a brick wall, ati's site only seems to have catalyst for xp/2000 - does anyone know if the 9500 even works in win nt4 or even better where i can find a driver?

    The only NT4 driver I can find only lists as far as recent as the 8500, so I don't think you're going to have any luck there.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Post 9500

    I have a 9500npro and i downloaded drivers from techpowerup, the driver turned my 9500 np into a 9700 and activated the other 4 pixel pipelines. Just do a search on google for softmod from 9500np and click the techpowerup one.
    My 9500pro died on me after 18 months so i sent it back and as you may be aware 9500's are discontinued now so i was sent a non pro version, the guy said i should be happy with that card as id had 18 month use out of it. That is regardless connect 3d were obligated to send me a replacement of the same card or one in the price range i paid at the time £149, or my money back. We settled for the card once we found out about unlocking the pixel pipes and it worked, so i think it was a 9700 bodged up to make it a 9500 thats why it was so easy to unlock the pipes. Even still they Fu@k@d us so i will never buy another connect 3d card again. heres the site where i got my drivers to unlock my pipes hope this helps http://www.techpowerup.com/softmod/downloads.php let me know if im reading what it is you want i may have misunderstood the question as im still quite a noob....

    cool-luke......

    p.s a bitof a rant

    fair enough question .... re the softmod - the card had been sat in my machine at home as a 9700 for the past 18 months .... but a mate of mine got a new machine at work with an x800 pro in it and is using NT4 for software development and testing - the x800 isn't supported in nt4 so .....
    he said if i could get him a decent 2d card which would work in nt4 i could swap it for the x800 .... subsequently i have found as stated above that the 8500 was the last of the radeon series to be supported ... luckily we had one of those in our lounge server - so that now has the 9500 @ 9700 and i have the x800 pro .... all i can say is

    thx 4 posting, back to games now
