if you install the nvidia drivers, it will normally tell you in device manager (right click my computer, go to properties, go to device manager)...

looks like a Geforce 5200 something

looks like it's either TD or TDH - as it's got Tv out and dvi - probably one of those rather than the ultra - but i'm just guessing - sorry.

have you have a look in display properties (control panel / display / settings / advanced) to see if it says there?

The g.cards BIOS should tell you at bootup.
If not, then download "nvidia BIOS editor" (google for it), read your BIOS from the program, and you should see it mentioned somwhere in there.

The A340 relates to the FX5200 nonUltra and those clocks are bang on for it. IIRC diffs between T, TD, TDH are simply the ports you get, T = VGA only ... TD = VGA+DVI+TVout ... TDH = VGA+DVI+VIVO (or something close to that).

Anyway it is DX9 capable but in reality that's useless, however you are better than Rad9000-9200 and GF4MX ... just way below the likes of GF4TI4200, Rad9600PRO or GF-FX5600ultra. You can also try 3Dmark03 for diags info, big download though and will crawl on your card even though it's DX9.

1 more thing the card as stated doesn't have a fan heatsink! and the card doesn't have a connector on the board to plug in a fan?

All the picture's ive seen of this card has the fan? whats that about

Both nVidia and ATI often release cards in their series designed with passive (HS, no fan) cooling in mind. FX5200 is such a gfx card, the core simply runs cool enough to not require a fan BUT this will severely impede o/c'ing and do expect the card to become very hot. Other examples are GF4MX, Rad9000-9200 and Rad9600 (nonPRO). BTW you could attach a case fan (for example), that would power form the PSU/mobo header.
