I have an OEM of the above card. What prog will tell me the temperature of the card? What's the usual working temp of the card and also what are the best drivers for it at the moment? Cheers.

drivers wise i use OMEGA
http://www.omegadrivers.net/
if not ATi's own
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...ge&folderID=27
but if you are going to put new drivers on make sure you use driver cleaner thoroughly.

Thanks a lot mate. BTW is that ur Skyline or just a random sig?
Will try the above when I get home! I find the Catalyst tool thingy a bit crap and seems to be very buggy! I thought ATi sorted out their driver issues! Still the same old ATi I assume. Better hardware than rivals Nvidia but weak drivers? Must be if people are using drivers not actually made by ATi lol. Madness.
Excellent post m8.Everything he needs.Originally Posted by cm_uk

In ATItool you need to sort out the settings so it sends your gpu temps to your sys tray when you close it.

nismo puts it better
"The basic concept for the NISMO R34GT-R Z-tune was finalized in 2000, and the vehicle made a splashy debut at the NISMO Festival. At that time, the vehicle was entered into a competition called the "Tuners' Battle," and it was victorious through its use of a maximum power of 600 ps.
This prototype machine, which focused on providing complete driving performance, undertook a new challenge in the following year. The challenge was to add comfort as a road-going model. In addition to an authentic leather interior, air-conditioning, and a catalyst, the engine was also changed from the Z1 to Z2. Development trials and tests have already been completed for this prototype machine to mature the vehicle. In 2003, it was finally taken to the revered Nürburgring. Furthermore, the engine was used in the Nürburgring 24-Hour Endurance Race, where it proved itself, and in the 2004 race it won in its class and the overall 5th position. In addition, various unit parts continue to be employed and improved in a variety of applications, and in that year they reached perfection by winning the Tuners' Battle."

ATI drivers weak?? HUH?? Thoes drivers he pointed out are optimised ones.. The guy tweaks them to the max... The normal drivers are more than satasfactory for most tho. So.. what are these bugs?Originally Posted by ytrebil
Sorry I just assumed that being away from the computer scene for a while, I had an 8500 and the drivers were rubbish, no where near as good as Nvidia drivers for their GF3 range.
Saying that I had problems with the ATi CCC panel which was getting annoying. Now installed the Omega drivers, ATi tool etc and everything seems cool. Cheers.
glad to help matey.i only use OMEGA as ATi's dont aggree with my machines.
