    Question 19" TFT monitor

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a new 19" TFT monitor.

I mainly use my system for administrative stuff and playback of DVD's,
as i'm only an occasional gamer.

This 19" TFT will be replacing a 15" Samsung TFT.

I'm not intending to go for another Samsung as I'm not really happy with
the colour reproduction on my existing Samsung 15" TFT.

I'd really appreciate if you guys can give me your thoughts on which
reasonably priced 19" TFT I should go for, and if you have any direct
'buy' links I'd appreciate that too?

    cheers,

    Yi

All the viewonic are good. The new VP191 seems the same as the VX912, just slightly-and-unnoticably faster responce time of 8ms compared to 12m, extra VGA input and £90 more.

    My vx912 is great though.http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/...F-50A610E9DC02

The new Dell 1905's are shipping with the Viewsonic 8ms panel from what I have read at overclockers, the Viewsonic has a few more bells but the Dell is cheaper

I'm looking for something good for movies and with a deep black for high-contrast reading. just read for an hour, the lg 1915s sounds decent for movies, there's one benq on a toms hardware review with xtra deep black, but so far sounds like the best thing for the pernickety is to phone some shops and see what 19 inch displays they have on the shop floor. Toms hardware says 12 ms panels are best for movies with good colour.

I mentioned the 1915 s but have done more reading and paying the monitor with the same Phillips panel according to Tom's hardware does a poor black shades-" the black is too bright we have seen a much better" and an ebuyer review that said that the writing was not dark enough sometimes. Glad I read!

Where? I can't see that deal. They have a discount, but not like that...
I just recommended the Dell 1905 to a mate (and he bought it) and then I went and bought a cheaper 'dithering' LG panel... i'll be kicking myself if there is a deal like that around...
