Will there be any AGP Geforce 7's?

Faster than the current offering of 6800GT/Ultra's to be precise? I kind of suspected there would be no support at the top end but, how about a 7600 GTX that beat the old Geforce 6800 GT??

I'm currently drooling over a XFX 6800 GT 256mb(with Doom3) at Scan for roughly £200.
But i thought about the inevitable new card in 6-8 weeks scenario thats cheaper and better.

How about mid range products? A 7600 would do me fine! I know at best i'm asking for educated guesses but it still worth talking about. I'm very much tempted to get that XFX 6800GT tonight before the offer goes.

I suspect we will see 76XX 72XX but only if the market craves it.

Sales of PCI-E cards are totally trashing those of AGP.

    No i really doubt it.

there still quality AGP cards, hell a X850XT PE can be had for around 250, and a X800XT for 200. Better than a 6800GT.

PCI-X is, I think, 64-bit PCI, and is used in servers. PCI Express is different to PCI-X.

As for moving to PCI-Express, if there are AGP alternatives to PCI Express cards, then the only real incentive to move is SLI, which is only particularly useful if you have plenty of money to spend on two cards.

    Thx for the feedback.

I decided to go for that offer on Scan.co.uk for the XFX 6800GT at £198(its still there for £205).
I only got my asus nforce 3 mobo last autumn, so i thought i might as well stick with that, at least another year.
Upgrading my mobo and getting a PCI-e graphics card, would have at least doubled the cost of my graphics upgrade, which really went way out of my budget range!

    Cheers lads!
