The X800 seems to beat the 6800 in every test, even in Doom 3, where nVidia's cards are generally stronger.

Thats a 6800 256mb? Aren't they a fair bit slower tha the nomral 128mb one?
Just found this:

Leadtek 6800 for £111Inc. Now that is a steal.
Not that I was aware of. I would expect the extra memory to give it a speed boost, at least at higher resolutions. And I don't particularly fancy the thought of buying from that store!Originally Posted by Smokey21

strange, all the reviews show it with 980mhz memory. the HIS card def has faster memory than 900mhzOriginally Posted by k0nigen
the x800 has 12 pipes and a 256bit interface. Just like the x800pro
Mike, just had a look around and that 256mb 6800 on Toms, has clock speeds of 325/600, where a normal 6800 is 325/700, so it's memory is a whole 100mhz slower, thats a fair difference. And the 256mb is a complete waste, the card is far to slow to utilize it.Originally Posted by mike_w
I think I'm just going to get something nice and cheap i.e. a 9800 Pro, and be done with it for the next year (unless games really start to need a better system).
