Quick Review
This BIOS feature controls the AGP bus' Fast Write capability. Fast Write is a feature which accelerates memory write transactions from the chipset to the AGP device.
Fast Write allows the AGP device act like a PCI device. This allows it to bypass the main memory and directly access the data which improves AGP read performance. However AGP write performance is not affected.
It is recommended that you enable AGP Fast Write for better AGP read performance but disable it if any of your PCI cards start acting funny

it can cause stability probs but my comp is fine with it on (9700p)
;) It's basically another of those lovelly things like ATA133 vs ATA100 (HDs), AGP8x vs AGP4x (mobo/gfx) and 256MB vs 128MB (gfx cards) ... it has potential but the actual real benefits are so tiny you'd never notice the diff. Best to enable but don't worry if it's disabled.

I usually disable stuff like that coz tbh its pointless and makes very little difference, if any at all.

Maybe in your BIOS it effects two things together....BUT AGP8x is different.
:cool: IIRC Sideband Addressing and Fast Writes were big talk when they came out, in the GF1/2 days at the same time things were moving from AGP2x to AGP4x. Significant perf gains never seemed to arrive from them (AGP2x to 4x was nice though), they were technically very good but simply didn't seem to impact perf at all. AGP8x doubles the bandwidth (out fo the graphics port) but AGP4x wasn't yet limiting anyway, only other thing I think AGP8x brought was 0.8v internal signalling, it still uses the 1.5v interface that AGP4x does.
so ill leave it on then? :)
