    Poor Mobile 9700 Performance

    System I'm comparing mine to:

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=686676

    My system:

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1073934

What's going on here? The only thing I can see are the memory clocks are different, is mine underclocked, or is the other guys overclocked?

    Thanks

The other guy's system has a higher FSB, double the video memory (64MB is not enough for 3d mark 2005), and higher GPU/VRAM clocks.

As for wether his is over clocked or not, I'm not sure. Mobility cards have a range of "offical" speeds that the oem can set as they please.

    Its only 50% less...

Best thing to do is run 3dm2k3 which is a much more sensible benchmark for that card.
Your not even getting over 3FPS on 05 so its a little useless for judging anything other than its b0rked...

It could be the memory, 64mb is definatly not enough for 05. I cant think of anything else that could cause it....

Mine's running the higher FSB actually, but I'm inclined to agree it's the memory screwing things up.
