    15.4 WXGA TFT (1280x720)

Anyone got any tips on how to get this monitor (Digimate L-1523) displaying correctly on a GeForce FX5200 ?
The panel has a max resolution of 1280x720 and this really needs to be at H54Hz and V60Hz.......I have set up a custom driver with RivaTuner which allows dispaly at this resolution but some text still looks a little 'wrong'....
I have the latest (77.77) drivers for the GeForce......I think what I really need to do is to manually set the H & V frequency as the monitor itself displays different numbers to the recommended in the TFTs manual....

    Help !

I would try getting hold of monitor drivers for a monitor that you know supports this resolution:

    http://support.euro.dell.com/uk/en/f...&fileid=R86087

This is a wsxga monitor driver but supports wxga resolution setting.... It shouldn't damage your monitor... but try at your own risk

    Thanks for the reply.

Is this the 2005FPW driver ? I have this on a CD as this is my primary monitor.....hadn't even thought of trying it !

So, any thoughts on the GFX card - is it actually likely to be the card is not happy driving this resolution ? I can't believe it is 'too demanding' even for this weedy 64-bit FX5200 !

    And as for manually setting H & V Hz figures......any ideas ?

    Yeah it is

Graphics card should run it fine.... I had a 5200 mobile in my last wxga laptop (dell 8600) and that worked fine... don't expect to be able to run games at native resolution though!!!

Regarding sync figures, your pc has clearly not picked up the monitor it is dealing with... hopefully installing the driver may change those tbh I haven't played around with them much

Splendid news..... I will give it a try !

Sync figures seem to be the problem, suprisingly (or not ) the monitor did not come with a driver CD and the website doesn't appear to have any mention (in English, at least !)......no worries on the games front, this is a build for a friend and gaming is not on the agenda......I had no issues running my 2005FPW on my old FX5900 AGP before the recent rebuild to PCI-e, and was kind of running on the assumption that the FX5200 should be OK with this monitors lower resolution for 2D work.

Well, the driver hasn't helped - it doesn't appear to list a 1280x720 resolution in the .inf file specifically either.....

The display is still currently in 1280x720, but I still think I need to change the sync settings to the manual's recommendations to 'tidy up' the image.....how can you do this ?
