    Why not just buy 4 smaller screens and hook them up in parallel?

    What I wanna know is whether they're gonna do any higher density smaller displays. Nice 200dpi screens that are affordable are still a few years off, I fear!

    Also, just out of interest, does anyone know what the absolute limit of dual link DVI is, resolution wise- in theory, with blanking timings reduced, they should be able to get twice the throughput of 1920x1200, no? I work that out at 2880x1800 eventually: a nice 34" screen at the same dpi as the current 30" offering. Or an Ultra high DPI 17" screen on a laptop.... tasty!

    1920 by 1200 is the res of the highest hd tv.. so that is the highest i expect to be able to buy reaaly big screens but i may be proved wrong... the things like the 30" apple are insane.. i think for that amount of cash just get a top projector..
    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
    Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering

    Counter-strike source lets you run games at a custom resolution

    I had it running across my dual screens at 2944x1200, was beautiful! Just difficult to control due to the shots hitting right in the centre of the resolution, kinda tied between two screens making it a nightmare to work it out.

    But on one screen I suspect that would be much easier!
