Just looking for some guidance on this one:
I've been upgrading my computer recently, and in the process of getting it all put back together again, I managed to knock something off my graphics card. Don't know quite what it was - a capacitor or something similar. It's located just by the molex connector for the card, but it's still working fine.
Is this something I should be concerned about?
If it still works then no :) Just be thankful.
Of course it could also be an important bit that is only needed occasionally (like a surge suppressor or such like) so it is hard to know if it is important or not.
i think just count your blessings that it still works and accept that if the card dies well at least you got some extra time out of it :)

If its a capacitor by a power connector, it is probably to suppress noise getting onto the card from the PSU and vice-versa. It is possible that it could lead to occasional data corruption, especuially if the PSUis heavily loaded, but if it's working OK, don't worry!
usually a capacitor is bridged across the power lines rather than being inserted into one line (only analogy I can think of is if you have several light bulbs in a room controlled by one switch, if one bulb blows the others keep working because the bulbs are bridged across the live/neutral wires and not placed in line in a single wire)
