TV Out Not Working

Hey,

I'm trying to put together a media centre pc. It's an old Dell PC I'm using, windows media edition 2005 is installed on it and I just bought a geforce fx5200 card as it is supported by media edition and was fairly cheap. The only reason I bought it was to output to my TV but I can't seem to get it working. I'm connecting an svideo cable to my tv. I've used the same cable and tv on an old radeon before to output to the tv so I know they're not faulty.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

What exactly doesnt work?
Is the option in the drivers to switch to the tv as an output not there? Or is it there and when you switch it doesnt appear on the tv? This can tell you whether its a driver issue or hardware failure issue rather than a signal issue with on the tv end.

the option is there and I've switched it on...but I'm not seeing anything on my tv

Does your tv have certain modes for that type of input? You may have to select the right channel to view the output.
For example I used to use tv out to my VCR connected up to my tv using scart. You needed to select the AV3 mode on the VCR to see the output from the computer on the tv.
