card broken, what do i do?

    Hi all,

I bought my Leadtek A400 6800GT TDH in January. But my card is not functioning properly now. I think it's a hardware issue. It used to have distorted and scrambled graphics sometimes while playing 3D games... Now I see graphics artifacts even before BIOS booting and subsequent windows loading and etc...the graphics is completely broken. Windows XP Pro device manager says @Can't start the device.

Since Leadtek has no UK contact number. What should I do with it? It's really expensive card for me ....I bought it from Ebuyer, it's been 8 months, would I still be able to claim something (like warranty...return the productg?).....

Thx in advance for replying my post.

edit: some link where a lot ppl i found having the same problem ;p

might have been that u've toasted that thing.. altho leadtek have excellent copper sinks.. their fan is by far the worst low cfm 40mm fans i have ever used...

You could give Leadtek a call at +31-20-4109100.. they're based in the Netherlands but I'm sure they speak english. Or you could just drop them an email... and I'm SURE they write in english cs I just had a chat with them 2 weeks ago on some tech info on my A400GT..

If you manage to get that card working again, I would strongly suggest u scrap that miniature fan for a 80mm high cfm tornado.. their sinks are great.. coupled with a fan duct and a tornado?.... its magic!

Check with ebuyer aswell, you might have to return it via the retailer in the first instance.

In the UK your first point of contact is the retailer, they have the responsibility for product warranty. Good luck with Ebuyer though, they don't have the best of reputations when it comes to returns...
