the reason why none buys such cards for normal game use is beacause they are standard graphics cards with extra features for buissnes such as multi screen support and besides they are alot more expensive then normal ones, and with normal ones are already expensive enough i dont think anyone has a reason to buy one for normal usage.
Adding on to what Syn said, some specialist cards are identical to their commerical counterpart, especially with mobile versions. For instance, the Mobility 9700 Pro (M11) is the same as the FireGL card which came out at the same time, except they were optimized for different tasks. So similar were they, that several software 'hacks' were released by people, that allowed you to change you 9700 to a FireGL, and vice versa :)
I don't know if it's still the case, but didn't nVidia used to make two ranges of cards?:
Expensive Quadro cards for high-end 3D graphics design software,
and cheaper GeForce cards for gaming.
But they were the same cards with different firmware! (Maybe the expensive ones had higher tolerance components, but who knows?)
So the main reason people don't buy professional graphics cards to play games is that they are no more powerful and have the wrong feature set enabled in firmware. And nobody's that crazy!
