Looks like some of the labels on the graphs for the x1800's are typo's but this looks like good news for ATI and competition.

looks pretty photoshoped to me.. I'm putting 50 nun-pikachu that its fake..
Hmm I'm not sure. I worry when even ATI hyped graphs show such little improvement - 10-20% over a 7800gtx (with probably old drivers) for the top range card - and note the lack of doom 3 benchmark.
The X1600xt vs the 6600gt looks good, but surely NVidia have a 7600gt card in the wings for just such a segment.
that's what i'm interested in - ATI currently seems to have the most complete offering on everything from around the £120 to £200 area - this is an important price point for general consumers. I can't believe that Nvidia will let them control this area further with the release new generation mid-range cards.. ..that said, the 6600GT still seem to be top sellers in most online stores, despite all the X800 GT/GTO variants out there...
They're real... they're being discussed everywhere. They're just from ATI's launch in ibiza.Quote:

They're real sheets for sales folks, no doubt about that.
As for R520 in the flesh, how's this?

Thats a potatochop there Ryz, why a bold X in hexus.... not even subtle...
lol... :)
Corr... that must be a collectors edition as its signed as well :P
Aren't TechPowerUp the people who have a big chip on their collective shoulder because ATI didn't invite them to the big launch in Ibiza, and published their own "review" despite not actually having access to one of the new R520s? Note that the Overclockers Forum is just a reference to the TechPowerUp site anyway.
I'm not saying it's not true, but some context might help people form a more balanced opinion.

Hm, having actually properly read the sell sheet, all I can say is that if this really is an official ATI publication then they should perhaps employ someone who is a native English speaker and has at least a GCSE. Good attempt guys, better luck next time.
No, you're thinking of hardwareanalysis, that was the one that threw the hissy fit.Quote:

They've listed the X1800XL for 2 times on the 3DMark05 j/k :)
- Angle-independent AF
- HDR + MSAA
- Adaptive AA
It's looking good. I'm more excited about the better IQ + featureset than the overkill performance (if it's true).
We need to wait for REAL numbers, this % can mean anything (8 fps)...
