hi again, my friend has got some graphics card problem

Hello again,

My friend's graphics card has got some problem When he plays 3D games or using other applications , it's fine. But when he watches movies, the screen turns black and goes to "Power save mode". If there is music, the music stutters....

Any advice that might help solve the problem? His card is a XFX 6600 one...

Is this a new gfx card or has it been working before?

Is it the vanilla 6600 or GT?

is that the screen saver kicking in?
