Recently bought an agp leadtek 6800 (not LE etc but normal, 12 pipes) for about 100 quid and got the stock fan changed for another tenner.
Happy with that.
What you want is the x800GTO2: unlocks clocks up to an x850xt - now thats a bargain!
If only it was an AGP card :(Quote:

Anyone have one of these? I know i can't get better performance for the money compared tot eh 9800 pro but this is slightly better... any thoughts?
get a leadtek 6800GT and stick in a larger 80mm fan.. you wont be dissapointed...
Bah thought it was :(Quote:

Who supplies the leadtek 6800GT?
Quite a few places. I think ebuyer, overclockers.co.uk and perhaps overclock.co.ukQuote:

these are massive cards with copper sinks on both sides... other than the measly 60mm fan.. which luckily can be easily removed. Coupled with a 2 80mm fans on each end.. 435/1200 is not impossible..
I got mine from overclockers, arrived the next day.
A hundred quid.
thing is the 6600gt are faster that the standard 6800's do the 6800 unclock/softmod to the gt variants?
Faster in terms of core & memory clocks maybe, but that doesnt mean it will give you faster frame rates.
Check out Anandtech etc for benchmarks
No the 6800 clocked and unlocked will get far better frames than a 6600GT: the architecture of the 6800 chip is what makes the difference: more pipes and funky stuff (can't be arsed going into it):crazy:Quote:

Gecube do have an x800GT0 - its advertised as in stock at lowestonweb.com. It has 12 pipelined and is 110quid inc VAT - surely a bargain

I'd definitely go for that over a 6800
