Annoying game flashing problem

Hi guys.

Firstly, this is not on all games... In fact, it only happens on two games i own:
Fable: The Lost Chapters and X3: Reunion (it arrived on thurs, and havent been able to play it because of this)

Anyway, attatched is a screenie of the game window flashing up. It does it every few seconds. Its not drivers. Ive managed to narrow it down to a program running in the background, but i don't know what

First of all, have you checked for viri (?) recently? Or ad/malware, using something like Ad-Aware?

The thing I would do then, if you are sure its a background process, is check the list of processes running against a site like processlibrary or liutilities. You may find some odd ones running which shouldn't be there, or are things you don't need.

You could also try installing and running EndItAll 2.0, although its hard to find now, and use that to kil off all unnecessary background processes. That has the added advantage that it will free up some RAM.
