Avoid the thermaltake cooler - It's noisy than the standard ones

I got a thermaltake copper cooler for my gf4. Thinking it would give me more overclocking ability, but it didnt. havent noticed it being noticly louder than the gainward one on there before.

I think you'll find that you can have quiet or cheap, not both unfortunately.

The Zalman heatsink is silent but £25, the Thermaltake Copper Cooler is cheap but a noisy bugger.

What about the Vantec Iceberq4? I don't have any experience with it personally. It's about £13 which would put it somewhere in the middle on price...

I cant find any comments of noise in any reviews, so if anyone could let me know how it compares to the stock gainward cooler?

I'd get the Zalman for ultimate silence ... there great albeit a little fiddly to fit!

Yeah its quite a bit of money for less noise, but that seems to be the best way to go.
