Does anyone know of a program like Prime95 that stresses the GPU (and ONLY the GPU)?
3D Mark stresses the CPU as well, so it isn't very useful for my current needs.

3D benchmarks only stresses the CPU if the settings make them CPU limited.
Recall that in CPU reviews, game frame rates are used as a metric, but the game is run at low resolution with the eye candy turned off so that it is CPU limited.
In GPU reviews, the same games are used, but they are run at high res with all the eye candy turned on.
Therfore, so long as your GPU is not top end, you can stress it without stressing the CPU much by running a 3D benchmark with all the graphics settings on maximum. If you get a very low framerate (less than 5fps) then you are not stressing the CPU much, and your GPU is the limiting factor.
There was a program that was like a HDR directx demo with loads of orbs flaoting around. That used to make my 6800 heat up very well. Not sure what it was called or where to get it from as it was a while ago. Maybe somebody else here knows?
CoolerMaster ftw!!!
For ATI users http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/ does the job.
EDIT: It now works with Nvidia cards as well

I use it while overclocking graphics cards to check for artifacts. Much more useful than setting a clock speed then playing a game for a while to see what happens...
RTHDRIBL is excellent for card stressing. It'll get your card up to full load
what does RTHDRIBL do?
Its Real Time High Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting demo.
It rendors HDR in real time with objects in a scene. It looks amazing, is very impressive and stresses out your GPU no end
Thanks very much
Its a moot point now as I found my problem but will keep this safe for the next time
