I have'nt used them for refurbished stuff but I bought my SM191T from them and the service was excellent........really quick and fuss free.Never had a problem with it so I can't comment on their after sales service except to say.........never needed it.

Cheers for that, just wanted to check them out before parting with the hard earned...

Any opinions on the Sony SDM-X82 it's an 18.1" TFT with:
Exceptional 18" TFT LCD display with high contrast (400:1) and brightness (300 cd/m2) LCD panel
Perfect gaming and video viewing with state of the art 200 MHz high speed graphics processor and fast panel response time (30 ms)
Don't know much about TFT's but need the desk space deperately... I don't play games (have a PS2 for that ) but do a LOT of graphics editting....

I've heard good things about this company, but i used a personal contact to get the details of the company i chose. They're called COS Computer Systems and if you ring them on: 0800 694 0 694 and ask what they have in stock im sure you will be happy. i got 3 x 22" iiyama VM Pro 510's in mint condition for only £150 each. Worth a go if you ask me.

Barakka i think IIRC you should be looking at a lower response time of about 20ms if you want to avoid ghosting while playing games or watching anything fast moving so i'd just say double check that the response time is good enough(anyone please correct me if 'm wrong) so your not dissapointed with the ghosting when you get it.

Edit: Just read your post properly and saw the bit about not playing games hence negating my warning Doh.. sorry about that

I bought a refurbished 17inch Sony Triniton CRT (you know the ones with the flat screens) about a year ago. Their service was brilliant and did come with the 3 years warranty.

The monitor is still working perfectly. I would recommend them.

Also I bought my Samsung 171P TFT from them, same excellent service, delivered within 3days. They also do a pixel check service (for a small fee) on request.

    Cheers for the replies everybody

Ordered one... although they are out of stock and should be getting a delivery early next week when they'll send it out... can't wait to get my desk back

After chatting to them - they do a full check of the part before it gets despatched and any slight pixel faults etc. or marks on the screen and they won't use it, sound pretty good.

    Barakka

PS - if anyone's interested, when researching this monitor I came accross http://www.sony-cp.com for info on the Sony monitor range - including manuals, pics, drivers etc. doesn't seem to be linked from the main Sony site though but useful.

Hmmm definate excuse to get that SDM-HS93 19" Flat Panel TFT made by Sony ... Considering it probably costs a good 2 or 3 times more than £468.83 sounds a bargin to me. Just a shame that they don't do it in black and only dark blue Oh well I will have to look at the 18" which defo comes in black
Signature in development ... please be patient
